Yamira was born in a Melbourne kitchen.
With my own curly hair and my kids' wavy hair, finding products that worked for all of us and were actually available locally in Australia felt impossible. Everything worth trying was overseas, expensive to ship, and often formulated for different climates and curl patterns than ours.
So I started experimenting.
For a few years I immersed myself in learning everything I could about hair care ingredients, what they actually do, how they interact, and why so many products that promise so much deliver so little. I learned about porosity, about silicones and why they cause build up, about the difference between ingredients that coat the hair and ingredients that genuinely nourish it.
That knowledge eventually led me to create my own hair oil. Something lightweight, silicone free, and genuinely effective for curly and wavy hair. My family loved it. My friends loved it. And so I decided to share it with everyone.
